Which clay?

Featured Replies

Right.. as i missed my chance at some clay on sunday.

Im on the hunt for replacing my megs ones.

Anyone recommend any deals?

This is the BEST

http://www.bilthamber.com/autoclay.html

You can get a 10% discount from Bilt Hamber on all products on their website, excluding special offers and delivery costs.

The discount applies to orders placed either through their website or telephone orders.

Their website is not fully automated and orders are processed manually once placed, so there is no option to use a discount code and see it automatically deducted at the checkout. If ordering from their website, when asked where you heard of Bilt Hamber if you input ‘CIVINFO LESS 10%’ the discount will be applied when the order is processed. So basically ignore the shopping cart total.

Soft or regular Chris?

Edit - £5.90 postage? :o Jeeeesus

Opie Oils (site sponsor) sell some Bilt Hamber stuff

Soft if the paint is already good

On recommendation from Baker21 (although I think he uses Bilt Hamber too now), I used Sonus SFX Ultra Fine clay when I did mine, because it was supposed to be the softest and most idiot-proof one to use (a rather big factor for me!) - didn't have any problems with it, and got great results. Both Elite Car Care and Clean Your Car stock it, so you should be able to find some. Unfortunately, it doesn't use water as the lubricant like Bilt Hamber, so you'll need something like Last Touch...

don't think its been mentioned yet, but with the Bilt-Hamber you can normally get away with using water as a lubricant - no more wasted megs last touch!

I use Car Plan Demon Shine as a lube and drying aid - it's great and at the mo it's it on 2 for £5 at Asda. They sray bottle is the best.

I use Sonus Ultra Fine Green and Elite Car Care Ultra Fine Poly Clay, both are great. I use them with Dodo Juice Born Slippy clay lube.
