Scout Question, Do I have extra extras ?

Featured Replies

We ordered a Scout Diesel, added Xenons, Alcantara trim (with heated seats), split level boot, Steering wheel with radio controls (with maxidot)& a full size spare.

The car has also got Electric Memory drivers seat & Electric mirrors which I believe isnt std on the Scout so have Skoda been nice to me or are they now std on the scout ?? The car was delivered 2 weeks ago.

Electric mirrors should be standard, but not the electric seats.

Think electric seats and therefore memory mirrors come with the leather/alcantara seats.

According to the brochure you get heated seats with Alcantara but not the leccy memory bit so I dont know

This seems to vary according to region. My car, ordered last week from New Zealand, comes with the multi-function steering wheel and basic electric mirrors as standard, but the Xenons, electric seats (with memory for driver and mirrors), alcantara, heated seats (a separate order to the alcantara in my part of the world) are all options. I have no idea about the full size spare (there is no mention of it anywhere on any documentation I've seen either as standard or as an option.

I've read somewhere on this forum that a wheel jack is not standard! Surely that can't be the case?

Spare wheel (and type) and jack probably dictated by local law.

In the UK it comes as std with a can of tyre foam & no Jack

Paying extra for the spare wheel & you geta jack as well.

How they can sell a scout without a spare as std which by its very nature is designed for rougher roads & therefor more likely to get punctures whilst off the beaten track is beyond me

Ive heard the AA or RAC are considering not trying to help fix punctures if you dont haver a spare wheel which is a woory,

With our Abarth you get a can of foam & an electric pump, theres no option for a spare wheel & it wont fit in the wheel well anyway as the Abarth has bigger dia wheels to the stock 500. Theres no jack & no option to use one as the body kit covers the std jacking points. To add to that its so low you cant get a trolley jack under it without driving it up onto some wood or similar to get the extra clearance, Basically if you have a blow out your in deep pooh

Full sized spare (16" steel vs 17" Neptunes) comes standard in OZ, and I assume NZ. Here, even on main highways you can be hundreds of miles from the right replacement tyre, so a can of foam is pretty much useless if you travel!
