Sky Plus PSU's gone pop

Featured Replies

:(

Anyone bought replacements from anyone reliable? The one I found that seems recommended from various forums only does a postal repair it seems.

So does anyone know of any reliable sellers that would ship so I can get up and running again by Saturday?

Dumb question, but have you checked the fuse on the PSU?

I've had them pop in the past.

Otherwise your best bet is going to be your local satellite installers shop.

I suspect that everyone's suggested Satcure, who are excellent at what they do.

No idea how you can do anything more quickly, unless you have a local repairer who can turn it around for you. PSU failure isn't uncommon in some models.

Yes, fuse checked, but the leaking capacitors was a give away. ;)

A very nice seller on ebay is sending me one by special delivery to arrive tomorrow.

Now for a 2nd evening with no TV, as we cant get a signal due to the nearby windfarm.

If you're willing to post the old one down I can probably get it reworked for you for the cost of caps and postage.
