Airbag light on-covered under warranty?

Featured Replies

My airbag light came on yesterday when I dropped my wife off at work so I'm assuming it's to do with the passenger seat wiring.

I can't see any loose connections though.

The thing is I bought the '06 vrs last July from Horton Skoda with a 12 month warranty.

I assume it should cover this but I know from past experience Horton will try to bill me.

Any thoughts?

Cant see why it should not be covered, its not wear and tear, and it probably just needs resetting

This was discussed recently. This can be caused by a plug under the seat and a good solution is to hardwire it as there is also a plug at the other end so seats can still be removed.

There is a clause in the manufacturer warranty excluding wiring, so if this is the case you may expect to pay for the work
