n75 valve what dos ethis doo?

Controls the opening of the wastegate on the turbo, depending on the boost pressure and what the ECU tells it to do.

so what dose it replace?

thanks for the help mate im just making a list of parts to order and a mate mentioned it too me

You will already have one... it's the little box shaped thing near the DV with three hoses going into it

You don't need to replace it or upgrade it unless you have a remap and have hesitation issues... but even then it doesn't always fix the hesitation.

ok mate thanks for the help, ur quite local to me well have to go for a pint

Gota replace mine as well and I was advised to get a H valve from audi. Same thing as a n75 but holds the boost higher.

dont you mean the N75J valve?

I put one on my car when I had trouble with it and it made it worse.

Yeah not far! I'm up your way quite a bit shopping at Ikea and Wing Yip. You must be quite near Bertee too, he's in Mitcham.

Should come down to the SE meet at Maidstone. Either that or PM me and we'll go for a pint somewhere

Do a search on this part of the forum for "N75H", I'd recommend trying the car with a standard N75F first (borrow one for an evening from a local member or anyone you know with a 1.8T car), if that does the trick then just buy another standard one... the H's and J's have been pretty unpredictable in the past.

Yeah, Warlinghams not too far from me.

I might even make the SE meet one day

Good advise, swapping the standard N75 for a upgraded is not alway a fix, certainly on a standard mapped car. I replaced mine for the H version from ECS as it did fix my hesitation on my mapped car along with replacing my Forge DV spring from green to yellow.

VRSJELLY Perhaps you should also consider replacing the Standard DV as that can have issue with hesitation and boost flutter.
