I know the ratios changed early 2004 but do all boxes fit all vrs's or are there different boxes out there??

I need one for an 05 asz engine

All boxes should fit all cars. If you do big motorway miles the early gear box is the one to get, otherwise get the newer one with the less interstellar gearing.

Unless you have around 230bhp, then the earlier ratio's seem better for the 1/4 etc etc, as im currently right on the border of keeping it in 4th (and having no power) or throwing it into 5th (having power, but then loosing time on the change!)

Makes no difference if I change or not to my times :(

I have had same thing. But I definitely need 5th - not tried leaving it in 4th - Might try that this coming weekend
