Does anyone have any good experience with Time Capsule? Have heard lots of negative feedback about premature failures due to heat build up. Has this been sorted now?

Looking for a backup solution for my 2 Mac's and this seems a good idea in theory....

You don't really need the time capsule mate, I back both my Mac's up to a Western Digital mybook world edition. It sit's on the network, is compatible with Time Machine and works faultlessly.

Both my Mac's back up to it, it's a media server and streams 1080p content to the 360 and backs up data from the PC as well. Get's my vote

Will it back up a PC at another location? It sounds as though it would using the western digital software/website thingy?

It will do via their own web based utility mate. Time Machine is a great bit of software and when you switch on time machine function in the WD's web based admin console then Time machine finds it. You can also partition up the disk and reserve X for Time machine and leave the rest for media streaming / storage which is what I do.
