Stoopid Coilover question...

Featured Replies

If I get a coilover kit for my FL are the rears actually coilovers or is the suspension of a different type?

weird reason - I want to lower the car but thinking I'll be ... ahem... towing with it soonish - was thinking a coilover option may mean an adjustable ride height/stiffness for the rear which could actually be pretty useful. Otherwise I fear that a lowered Octy (on lowering springs only etc) may be too low to tow...

Anyone know?

Anyone with experience of what I'm talking about?

You certainly could just wind them right up when you want to tow. Should bring you just about to OEM ride height, with slightly stiffer ride.

Hmmm, so the rears are defo adjustable as well then? Do most have adjustable damping rates too? does it effect both compression and rebound or just the rebound?

Wonder if the manufactures could tell me how the standard ride height compares to the 'highest setting??
