abs and traction control lights came on

Featured Replies

using the car the other day and everything was going fine and now the traction control and abs lights have come on.any ideas what could cause this?

I had this last weekend

Scanned it with VAG COM

and it was a split wire going to a sensor (Speed sensing or Brake cant remember, for me it was on p/s)

connected it up again and all was well

Probably either low alternator charge/battery voltage (check you have about 14v across the batttery terminals with the engine idling, and 12v with it off) or an ABS sensor fault as per #2. Note that codes will help isolate which sensor is faulty in this case.
