WaveSecure Security Application for Smartphones

Featured Replies

This came up in the 'Recommended Andriod Apps' thread but thought I'd re-post here for a little more visibility...

WaveSecure runs on Android, Blackberry, Symbian and Windows Mobile (unsure of iPhone availability)

It seemed to offer the right options, so I went and subscribed. At the moment there's a 25% off promo code of GOAL (for the World Cup) - so with the current exchange rate it worked out at £10 for the year. Well worth it IMHO.

I've tested it and it's bloody impressive - certainly does what it says on the tin and the tracking on the website's pretty cool too.

Certainly worth trialling at the very least; there's a lot of potentially valuable information sitting on our phones, as well as a significant investment in some cases - and this app could make the difference, as well as potentially getting the device back as well! Think of it as Tracker, but for phones

Cheers,

Steve

agreed I've got it since it was first beta release, it was free then :)

One slight downer / unexpected of this is the password configuration.. its only in numbers..

I signed up to it as I liked the trial and it seemed very good.

Guess it's just a bit of piece of mind and also extra ammo to try and recover the phone or catch the thieving scroates!

Using it on a HTC Desire with no probs.

About the passcode... I don't really see what the issue with it being just numbers is really as long as nobody knows it!
