Fitted My RARB

Featured Replies

one word "WOW" its how the car should of come standard bought the whiteline rear had it fitted in 45mins!

Have it on hard and it is so much more responsive on corners! back end steps out a little when powering hard but its better than understeer!

i would reccommend one to anyone with a VRS!

you go for a fixed or adjustable one?

I was amazed at the difference mine made. Well worthy addition.

Seems to work very well with my coilovers as well, but now I feel I need thicker bars for serious track action

I fitted my whiteline in August last year and haven't looked back. Initially I set it on 2 (out of 4) while I got used to it. I'm now considering moving it up to position 3. Where do other people set theirs?

BTW, after less then 9 months on the car, mine was very corroded. Sent an email to their head office and they immediately sent out a full replacement (no quibbles at all). Best customer service I've ever experienced. I just hope the new one fairs better through the winter than the last one did.

Don't think the paint quality on them is that good (i painted mine in the skoda green smoothrite caliper colour paint in the end) after a year mine now still looks new (if i scrape the dirt and muck off).

However for the price compared to neuspeed, and the performance is well worth it

Who did you respond to, Balance motorsport or whiteline direct?

I might go for the newer thicker 24mm one next as i have one of the original none adjustable ones.

If the back end is stepping out a little move it to a slightly softer setting, otherwise i bet you will lose it when it wet.

Bowders1, I went direct to Whiteline HQ in Australia. They reffered me to the head of UK distributiuon who sorted out the replacement. Wish I'd though of painting the new one green before I'd fitted it.

BTW, which setting have you put yours on? Like most things, you get used to is and then want more. However, I don't fancy sliding off a roundabout in the wet.

i went to jamsport in northampton got it all in for £160 i had an mx5 so im use to the back end coming out in the wet. Plus you will only slide if your acting stupid or putting your foot down a little too much. i had one on another car for 3years and it corroded a little but nothing too bad.

The one i got i didnt need to shorten any of the u clamps which i was happy about :)

what power should i be running also, Miltek downpipe + sports cat and miltek cat back exhaust, CIA, remap and forge recirc valve should it be around the 200ish mark?

I would expect more than that with those mods but possibly wouldn't be able to get the same power again and again as you haven't got a FMIC. Get it on 2 or 3 rolling roads then take an average of the figures to find out roughly what power it's making.
