It will depend what the part number is on the vRS stalk.

1K0 953 513 G is suitable. This is found on many VAG group cars

1K0 953 513 A is the older type and is not suitable

The 2010 octavia must have a trip computer or you will need to change the steering control unit.

And the diagnostic wire has to be present (pin 13)
