A weekends work! (well almost) ;)

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Just thought I would share with you the result of a few cosmetic mods I did over the weekend. :)

Cant find my camera so I made a little video with my cheapy digi cam off Ebay ;):)

I did the front and rear lights in Lamin X subtle tint and wrapped the grill in carbon wrap.

Didn't remove the front lights but did the rear to as they were quite easy :)

Any comments good or bad are welcome! :)

Cheers,

Ben.

P.S Sorry the car isnt that clean as I ran out of energy - will do it in the week sometime :giggle:

Yup, looks very nice  just like mine in fact except I've also removed the rubstrips on the sides and I only laminxed the white bits on the rear lights, and also did my exhaust tip and the side vents in the front bumper with carbon too

good work !

Cool :) I also have done my exhaust tip but not side vent, sounds gd - got any pics of it? :) and only the white bits you say? :o that must have been quite tricky

Cheers.

Missing a bit of what? :o

Don't think any things missing :giggle: - could just be the light :)

looks well :)

That looks excellent - you can see it's modified, but it's not in your face modified. Tasteful sums it up I think. Very good!

Hi Ben, are they pre facelift rear lights?

My apologies but I couldn't really make it out in the vid...

I just fitted an old style set to mine and just fly eyed the white bits.

Will be replacing the fly eyes with gunsmoke lamin x when I have time. (already bought it :D )

I think that style cluster with part tint suited a black Fab more than the newer style does TBH.

Looks good on yours in the Red but pics would illustrate the changes better.

Cam phone maybe? that's all I use (cheapskate I know... :D )

I am contemplating doing the subtle tint to my headlights too.

Having just done a set of fogs in yellow... ;)

How much did you have to buy to do the headlights?

EDIT The tie fighter vinyl is gone now, I was just trying it out for size :D

Nice mods - Just not a huge fan with your wheels.

Hi mate, here is a photo of the rear lights

i.jpg

as I said, just the white bits done as I like the red part of the lights on a red car and thought the white bits lookd a little too bright. Was not too difficult to do just carefully cut around the bit you want to keep and peel the waste off.

and one of my carbon exhaust tip :giggle: , the Di-Noc has been on a while now without any signs of coming off, it's really good stuff !

I've left the inside to go sooty and it looks even better now

Cheers,

Alan

yea man looks nice im thinking of decalling my fabia badge, i took the side strips off and it looks much better

i really fancy doing the front headlights in the lamin-x,whats it like to fit?how much of the light did you cover?

oh and what size sheet did you buy lol

cheers

looks really well mate.

tell me, where are people getting these tinted rear lights and headlights from?

and how hard is it to colour code the front grille?

i have a silver pocket rocket and i reckon these mods will set the car off...

Thanks for the kind comments guys :)

I brought x2 18 x 8 & 2x 12 x 16 to do the front and rear lights. It is really nice stuff to work with and can me taken off and redone many times to get the perfect air bubble free finish :) I also covered the whole of the light.

No problem. I Havent got a camera atm but I basically covered the whole lights and then trimmed and folded it back and behind and around the side of the light so as no line was seen where the tint ended.

Recon I need some rear tints now though!
