FQ 400 - Top Gear etc

Featured Replies

As nice as that FQ 400 was, and its certainly fast, If I ever have

but still.. in perspective its a 4-door saloon with supercar humbling performance... for 1/3 the price!

and i doubt its cheap to service a lambo or aston

Well just to be awkward you can now get a 1980's

or a tigra 1.3cdti and save loads but still look cooler than any 4 wheel drive car!

Or a 1.1 stilo and hope all the EVO drivers you meet are pootling around in 5th lol......

Or this.

May not be as fast but I can think of several alternative and cheaper places to put my money(and still get change)...

Skyline GTR 34

New boxster S

TVR

Monaro

M3

And second hand its even better - 996 Porkas' date=' a P1 and others.[/quote']

The R34 went out of production a few years ago and you wouldn't get one for

it was impressive to say the least and made me chuckle to see the lambo fall over, but I'd rather have a scooby, yeah ok the evo maybe better but in the real world the scooby is a better bet! :D

With

I'm not really a fan of supercars, but the Mitsubishi made the Lambo look discrete and sophisticated.

The Evo looks like a car for chavs who've won the lottery. It's not exactly beautiful, is it?

A quick search on Autotrader seems to suggest otherwise.... My mate imports cars and got an R34-GTR as a pay-off by his previous employer. Car was putting out in the region of 600 bhp and was *fast*' date=' but he said it was just plain dull to drive because the computer did all the work....... He ended up selling it on and buying a 300ZX twin-turbo...

Cheaper to service than a Scooby though ;)

Production ceased on the R34-GTR in August 2002 as the car failed Japans new ultra-strict emissions laws. The R35 went into production but as yet the GTR devirative is still only a concept.

Autotrader is wrong i'm afraid (unless you think the Skyline is actually a 5 door 4x4 as per the first listing :D )

And yes the Skyline is cheaper to service than a Scoob - i've had both a GTR and an Scoob STi. A service on the Skyline from Abbey Motorsports was a shade under

I agree - I was hoping you'd look further down the list at the one Middlehurst were selling complete with HKS mods and a mere 6k miles for

Waste of money at 47k.imprezas and evo's brilliant cars but partly because they came wth a decent(ish) price tag too. Can't see subaru bothering to play catch up.Agree with flatfourburble.Get a track car and everyday car for that sort of money and still have change for pie and chips

This is a much better way to spend that sort of cash IMO...

Also, ive also always had a soft spot for the last of the TVR cerbera's. Lovely. Even if I have to sell a kidney I WILL have an R34 GTR one day.
