Columbus Frozen On One Screen

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just put an SD card of new songs into my Columbus unit and it began to play the first track on the card. However, it did not display the artist or track title which I thought was strange. When I decided to advance to the next track the unit did not respond. It will not respond to any hard buttons or screen buttons. I removed the card and still nothing happens. Now when I turn on the Columbus, it displays the screen it was last on eg the "nameless" music track from the SD card. There is no sound and no response from any hard or screen buttions.

I have turned the car off, removed the key and waited for a while but no change.

Help please!!!!!

Regards,

Anthony......

Hi,

Went for a drive 20 mins ago and the unit is working fine again. Hope it does not happen again.....

Anthony.....

Pull the stereo fuse out for 30 seconds and put it bck in, usually fixes any HU crashes.

Thanks, will try that if it happens again.

Has happened to me a few times, I think the unit works like any PC and needs a little time to boot up, so I tend to wait a little while (30secs ish) before loading anything - changing any function now and not had any more probs
