Car sorted....MMMmmmmm so good

Featured Replies

Just got the car back from MB Motor sport after it was kept in for an overnight stay. Had a lot of niggles fixed that have added up to an effect greater than the sum of lits parts ;)

  • KW V3s have been refurbed with new springs etc and set up again.
  • Turbo inlet silicone pipe was split causing it to run rough and pop and splutter on gear change.
  • Wishbone bushes have been done.
  • Full service done, oil, filter, plugs etc
  • Handbrake adjusted

Just need to put the standard spoiler on this weekend and get some new mats in her and she's all good.

The car drives great for 109K! Micheal and the guys at MB are very good, highly recommended.

Sounds like a good result then :)

Glad you got it all sorted mate!!!!!! TIP split then, I thought it would've been something stupid causing those problems!!!!!

Long may it live on!!!!!!!!

Glad the old girl ok, nice one

I'm glad you got a good service from Micheal. :D I haven't been to his place in Hebbern, but he seams a good bloke. I know him as he runs a few very quick Rallycross cars.

Overall she seems to be in very good shape for the miles, also now that I've spent a few hundred quid and the last owner fitted a new turbo I'm hoping i'll get a couple of good years out of it.

Will still get it on the rollers when I get chance as I'm not 100% sure about the RS mapping, as the turbo died on the last owner I just want to check it isn't doing anything silly.

Tonight I'm going to mount the standard spoiler and then spend some time on the paintwork this weekend, lots of stone chips but I work as an artist and have a pretty good technique for sorting them out.

Looking forward to some meets and will get some pics up soon.

Ron
