ROFL really?!! :rofl::thumbdown:

That was about as helpful as my post! :giggle:

my advice would be to get it checked out by a good garage - preferable with a VAG-COM diagnostic tool so see if it throws up any faults. :)

i know mate, i just couldnt resist it though. he wants to know whats happening, and i (hope) i cleared it up for him...?!

At first steering starts getting stiff then min later it cuts out

Defiantly something electrical rather then mechanical I would say. Which could be good or bad...

Power steering failing but does not explain the "cut out"...

Oh no I'm hearing more an more problems with th 1.4. eek! :'(

It's gonna be like your alternator an stuff, run a multimeter over your battery and see what you getz.

You should see a well big difference between not running (about 12v) and running (13v+). If you get this then it's runing ok, if there is no change then the alternator is stuffed.

If you don't get at least 12v to start with then you batter has haddit innt.

Ghetto bla! True dat - nuff respect.

Peace out. :giggle:

I imagine your battery terminal is just loose, check them first. Then go to a garage.
