Sat Nav Columbus Maxidot ?

Featured Replies

I installed a Columbus the other day and everything is nearly working perfect except that i cant get the Navigation in the maxidot menu,

There is no problem with audio and i can see radio stations in the maxidot and change them from the rocker.

Which i assume means that the maxidot does see the columbus :S

Have you coded everything correctly?

You might find that the nav instructions appear overnight, Mine originally only displayed audio details, after being powered off for a few hours the nav instruction was then available in maxidot.

As well as coding the columbus, the car needs coding to say that a nav system is now fitted. Also depending on the version of columbus purchased you may need to enable or disable the BAP protocol.

....whats suprises me is that i think the audio/navigation title was in the maxidot dispay menu even before i installed the columbus ,

could i be mistaken, can anyone confirm this?

Should i reset the maxidot to factory settings ...does this erase anything that i shouldnt really be doing

and last should i disconnect and plug in the original radio/cd to see if that might brings back the navigation title?

...generally the only thing i have done is just plug and play.

there werer a few saying that i might need a canbus adapter 1.6-2.0 and that the maxidot would not work with the navi, well this issue is not a problem with the new fabia and the maxidot /rocker radio works with the columbus.

If it was a coding issue wouldnt i not be able to see/change the columbus radio channels in the maxidot??

Or is there a coding for the radio and another for the navi for the same device(columbus)

i assumed that if the navi isnt coded then there is no communication whats so ever between navi and maxidot or can there be?? :(

I find it super cool to able to change the radio channels on the steering wheel :p :

..everything is ok now it was a coding issue needed to activate the navigation coding ....only thing not displaying is the climatroniks

I have Skoda Superb Combi 2011 and I installed a Columbus ( 3T0 035 680 A with hardwer HW: H42 and Softwer SW: 2724, Date 8.1.2011 ). Everything working perfect, except Navigation in the maxidot menu. I have Audio, but no navigation in the maxidot menu.

I coded bit 7 (BAP) from 1 to 0, but then also missing Audio in the maxidot menu. If I coded bit 7 (BAP) from 0 to 1, then I have Audio, but no navigation in the maxidot menu.

In Module 19-CAN I don't have the box ( bit ) for Navi.

Please help me. What is the right coding?

Hello I have the same problem, but I did not touch / install the Columbus. It is all as I bought the car. I do not have Audio or Navigation showing.

VWnavi.com is down at the moment. Can you remember what you did to get the coding correct?
