From what I've read any 505.01 spec oil will be fine for the 10k service intrervals in this PD engine.

Is there any advantage to using 507 spec oil. Could I extend the oil change interval for example?

im using 507 spec at the moment but still servicing every 10K. I dont think cars UK skoda's are programmed for variable servicing. But I may be mistaken. The reason I am using 507 spec is coz I got a good deal on them.
