I may be in the market for a cruise control retrofit, and have been trying to collect some prices.

I've been quoted £150 + vat (so £185 ish) - is this kind if the standard rate? I don't really fancy doing it myself, having checked out the guide!

I have been quoted £180 by my local dealer, which I thought was alright. However my Indie mechanic will fit it for around £120, which is a steal!

I guess you should be able to take a guess at how long it should take, and be able to work out if the prices you are quoted are reasonable based upon that? The part itself (BEA400002) is £65 ...

aha, good call! i'm in Southampton - i've investigated JKM, but not sure as to any other suggestions...

Matt, no i'd not given them a ring, as its a little far if i can find something nearby. But i'd certainly rather spend the cost difference on diesel so will bear it in mind!
