Hi all, finished my soundproofing today with some more of the butel/foil squares and some underlay. It was a 4m roll, more than wide enough for the loadspace. I have used just over a meter so there is enough to do another 2 or so Skodas! It cost me £30 so lets say £20? I am near Epsom so pm me if you want it!!

What's the butyl stuff like performance wise James? Good difference in noise?

I was asking on another forum and the guys were 50/50 split, some saying only buy something like dynamat, and the other half saying if you do that you're criminally insane coz the butyl foil backed roofing stuff is just as good.

I have only just finished doing the whole boot floor but it seems to muffle it a bit. Now I have added the carpet it seems to dull it further but not been out much to tell TBH. There is no way i'd pay out a fortune on dynamat!

I needed two packs of the foil/butal stuff and of course i have a big roll of underlayer going spare!
