I have just bought a Skoda Octavia II (07 model). The car did have a poor radio, so I have bought a second hand Skoda Stream radio instead, since this integrates perfectly.

I have not installed the readio yet. But I expect that I will be prompted for a safe code after installing it.

How can I find this code? Is there an easy way?

your dealer would be able to get your code if its a skoda unit by plugging into your diag socket i dont know what the charge would be tho..

You will have great difficulty getting the code, unless the unit is supplied with it.

For skoda to give you the code, you will need either the original car the unit was fitted to, or proof of purchase on skoda invoice.

The online code retrievel will not work unless the VIN and Serial number match skodas records, it can be overriden with a skoda invoice number used to purchase the headunit.

Hopefully it will come with the pin code otherwise you maybe out of luck.

I assume that the Skoda Stream unit is supplied with the code. Its an original Skoda unit.

But I do not have the original car (obviously) nor any invoice. The previous owner of the Skoda Stream radio did not purchase it separately from the car, since it was in the car from new.

Can Skoda give me the code directly if I give them the Serial number of the Stream radio and the VIN number of my Octavia?
