Exhaust Supplier

Featured Replies

Simple questions I suppose, does anyone have any recommendations for an exhaust supplier for my 1.9 TDi 130 Superb?

Tried a quick google but the vast majority of supplier were for stainless steel exhausts, I only want a standard back box. Just wondered if anyone has any suggestions. Dull question I know but thanks in advance.

Maybe stainless steel is the thing they use in producing exhaust systems....my guess is that if you are fortunate to get further replies from members on here and do find a supplier for the back box the price will be just as expensive than buying the stainless steel system in the 1st place ....how about a scrappy?...you might find a stainless steel system already on the car :giggle:

Is it worth giving the likes of TPS a call? They supply OEM parts anyways.

Just had a look for a passat exhaust out of interest on euro car parts, but theyve got nowt listed for that either. At least you dont need that MASSIVE box next to the fuel tank, couldnt believe the size of that sucker when I saw it under the car :D

One could have a bath in it....but yeah it is a big rear box......or is it the one behind the actual rear silencer were talking about??

Yeah I tried searching for exhausts on eurocarparts and GSF but no joy. Will give TPS a try and maybe head on down to partco and so what gives there.

Only looking for a standard rear box because one of my baffles is loose and it makes a hell of a racket at low revs when it vibrates. Been like that for ages, but it's annoying me more and more as time goes on. Cheers for the TPS idea.

People are usually pretty friendly around here for the mostpart, or do you know something I don't?

I happen to be very friendly actually...its just my sense of humour that possibly lets people down...tbh i havent had the mistfortune of a silencer go.....well not yet anyways...but as ianoxor suggested try tps or even gsf...failing that if i was in your shoes surely any good exhaust supplier like kwit fit or similar should have the database in order to track down the item you need. They might even have to order the part in that you require?? but at the end of the day failing that, i'm sure the main dealer could access the genuine part...albeit rather expensive...and depending on the price of what they quote, that surely would be music to your ears rather than listening to the rattling caused by the baffle inside the silencer.

Or maybe go online and see if they do a sport silencer...i recall milotec doing one with twin pipes and the rear bumper had a cut out to accomodate the straight pipes that protruded past the bumper. I think it was offered as a optional extra when car was purchased...but dont quote me on that...you could also try formula 1 motoring services...they are a big national garage that could possibly help...and i do hope you get the offending item fixed...i like to think that i can help out with idea's and also hope that members can do the same when i or others have a particular problem...just ignore my sense of humour

:smirk: I wasn't insinuating anything fella, you just sounded rather cryptic. Have noticed this section of the forum has been pretty slow lately to be fair.

Well i do look on here on a daily basis....and there is always someone asking for help...and yes sometimes the questions asked do take a while to be answered too..maybe the members are on holiday...or the members are checking their cars out before one of them replies...and some unfortunately wont get a reply like one member recently, as he has an ultra rare 2.8 petrol version and unfortunately for him , he has a few problems with his motor.

So yeah it can be fustrating , waiting for that all important member suggestion fix or possibilities to a problem that might cure it in the end.But it is a nice site for looking into the other sections of different models and see what they are experiencing with their cars and other issues. Hope you get that silencer fixed

Yeh it has been a bit slow, maybe all the superbs are working properly HAH, that will be the day :D

Oh, I missed that one, I'm a 2.8 Pass It owner!
