Measuring Block Group 11, VCDS on PD170 - wrong label(s)?

Featured Replies

On group 11 on my PD170 VCDS is showing RPM, Absolute Pres. , Absolute Pres., Lambda.

Shouldn't those be RPM, Spec. intake press., Actual intake press. and D.Cycle MAP?

Yeap, thats a no go from Ross tech.

10 and 11 is ALWAYS intake pressure/MAF

If you check the Auto-Scan or the Advanced ID of that module VCDS does not come with a label file for that module so the Description shown for the Measuring Values are then guessed based on the data type of each value. Hence the "incorrect" descriptions. I have not yet finished the label file in question but is on the TODO list (as are many other things).

Aha. Thanks. Another related question on this engine... I cannot access an N75 test cycle in engine output tests. Should it be possible?

You should be able to do that in an Auto-Scan with the Engine shut off. You can also test the Turbo Charger and related components via Basic Setting in MVB 011.

Basic Setting is greyed out from MVB 011.

Are you sure you're doing it right?

VCDS > Select > 01 - Engine > Basic Setting - 04 > MVB 011 > Start (On/Off/Activate)

VCDS > Select > 01 - Engine > Basic Setting - 04 > MVB 011 > Start (On/Off/Activate)

Yes, it won't let you move beyond MVB 002 in the Engine Basic Setting screen.

A quote from the manual...

Although you can use the [up] and [Dn] buttons to scroll through the available groups just like on the Measuring Blocks screen, this is probably not a good idea since you may put the Controller into Basic Settings for a Group that you did not intend.

You should enter a Group number directly and click [Go!]
