Really loud Bluetooth Pairing alert is deafening us!

Featured Replies

Hi

I just got my new Yeti Elegance and love it to bits.

There is one snag though- I recently paired my bluetooth enabled phone to the Yeti, and now everytime I switch the ignition on or off the Yeti plays an extremely loud alert signal through the car hifi speakers. Does anybody know how to turn this alert off or at least adjust its volume level as its almost painful LOL!

Cheers,

Al.

I think you can change it in the Bluetooth setup. If not you can certainly change the volume level of the radio at startup. It might be you've got it set too high anyway. All this is done through the radio.

...or leave your car in reverse !

Hi there again :-)

Its fixed now- yippee!

The volume level of teh radio itself has no bearing on it at all, and infact you can turn this right down/off and the pairing/unpairing alerts will still ring out loud and clear. Alas leaving teh car in reverse doesnt work either as the alerts still ring out at full blast.

However, these alerts can be attenuated via a less than obviously labeled sub menu:-

It was actually under the Phone Setup menu and then into the Ringtone sub menu, where I was able to adjust the volume of the in-car ringtone (that the car plays when it receives an external phone call via bluetooth). Oddly, this volume level setting also controls the 'paired' and 'unpaired' alert signals. :-)

Thanks again for your help with this, and hats off to Vindis Skoda in Cambridge who sussed this one out for me at lunchtime today at very short notice- great service guys!

Cheers,

Al.
