Hello all,

Is the Bolero HU worth anything?

I have removed it from my Octy. Also is there a 4 digit code thats supposed to come with it?

Or do you use VCDS to accquire the code?

Many Thanks

BIG Nick :)

Looking to sell? I might be interested if so...

You'll need to visit your dealer with proof that you own the car / head unit for them to give you the code.

I would also be interested, but to be honest they are probably only worth about 20 quid! :giggle:

I'll give you my Bolero HU for £20

If you can get me a fully working, legit Columbus unit for £30 :D

20 quid a? make a better door stop :p

So in all seriousness whats the goin rate? Tis only 12 months old.

Cheers

It all depends. The Ebay ones have been reaching £150-200 with the code.

Personally, I prefer the Superb version..... looks a bit better (I know its the same functionally and all that and I'd need to change the facia).

Can't decide if the Bolero or columbis would be better for my needs...... Don't really need Nav, but the columbus seem to be more in demand

for selling on again.

Fairest way is probably to check completed items on ebay to get an idea of what people are paying:

This one finished recently for £165 - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Skoda-superb-2-bolero-radio-/280527267760?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_Car_Audio_Players_PP&hash=item4150ba67b0

As mentioned you probably would benefit from getting the code first as a buyer may have a problem trying to get it from a dealer later on, without the original V5 document etc.

for £20 ide rather drop it in the bin,got to be worth £100-£150 all day long pal

I just paid £250 to have factory fit upgrade RCD510 fitted to my new Passat, which is the equivalent to the Bolero (those cheapskate VW's still don't come with one fitted as standard).

I think the Bolero is a great bit of kit in the Skoda and well worth £150-200 to anyone as an upgrade. You MUST get the code though - no one's going to touch it without the code.
