2010 facelift skoda fabia combi TSI Speaker sizes?

Featured Replies

[]Does anybody know the sizes for the door speaker in the front and Rear speakers .

Also any advice on decent manufacture's would be good.

I thought i had rear speaker because of the grills in the rear doors but i finally found out they are not included.

Could also use some help on how to put some in,is the wiring already in the door panels?

the pre fl has 6.5 inch speakers front and rear. If it's the base model without rear speakers, it won't have cabling in (unless skoda decide to be generous). The grille for the tweeters in the rear doors in the pre fl are blanked in the base model, may be the same in fl. just get co-axials in the rear. You'll also need speaker adapters or baffles, buy some autoleads plastic ones or make your ownor get some made.

.........would you have any clue on how to remove the door coverso i can access the speaker compartment or does anyone have a DIY pictures on a skoda??

i got my speakers installed but i believe the clips that hold the door card in place are very fragile. I think the first step is to take the window winder off first.by moving the ring around where the winder winds. I can't remember which direction you move it. I think there is a thread somewhere showing how to remove the door card.

......actually the airbag curtains are in the side windows...........................does this create problems with the airbags when removing the door covers/panels??

i would have thought the door card and the side window are separate but i see what you mean. i don't know if removing the door card affect any sensor or anything with curtain airbags sorry

..managed to take the back door card off without causing any damage :yes

..there are no speakers and wiring and have no clue where the speaker cables should run through?????????????

..............anyone can help???????

no wiring, i thought so knowing skoda.

You need:

6.5 inch speakers (coaxial or components, but you need to make a hole for the tweeters if going for components)

adapter plates/ baffle

wiring.

I got mine done at a car audio dealer. sorry can't help you on where to feed the wiring but i presume through the rubber bendy thing throught down that pillar (the pillar where the rear door hinges onto, pass underneath some trim along sill, under dash board and to hu.

while the door card is out you might want to thinkin about some sound deadening to make it more solid and reduce any annoying rattling when you turn it up

there's no cross over, it's an in line filter, built onto the tweeter

i have managed to take apart 1 back doorpanel/card just to see how it was and looks behind the panel but didnt take the switches off .

.....no speakers and no wiring at back doors i suppose i have to put some in .........

........im not sure if i should open the front door cards and see how the wiring flows..........................

..........im not too shore if i should also move the front speakers to the back and put new speakers in the fornt

.........or just change them all 4 to a non oem brand ,

.................or just put some OEM in the back

i have a columbus(rns-510) not too shore how i connect the back speaker to the columbus and if the columbus has a internal amp that will support the back speakers or will i have to put a external amp............i dont really put the volume full blast when listening to music

I have 2010. Fabia Ambiente with no rear speakers. I do have central locking though, and when I removed the small ribbed hose that holds the cables for each door, there is 6 (six) wires going into each rear door. I do not have electric windows in the rear doors, central locking is the only electric powered thing in the rear doors. So, i presume that electric locking needs 2 od max. 3 wires, so what for are the other 4 or 3 wires? I also suppose that two are for speakers, and two for windows?
