MFSW on 2007 vRS

Featured Replies

Hi all, I know that there have been plenty of MFSW threads already.....but im still lost for answers, ive got a manual car so dont really want a DSG wheel and would rather have a skoda badge than a VW one...so is it possible to get this to work on a pre-facelift car?

sorry if I am digging up the past but had a quick search and couldnt find an answer...

No, the wheels don't work in a pre facelift, I've tried it.

It obviously fits a f/l vRS, but is anything else required apart from some reprogramming?

Also, does anyone know if the leather on the side of the wheel could be removed and replaced with perforated leather as per standard vRS wheel and if so where's the best place to get it done? And could the vRS badge off the standard wheel be removed and fitted to this wheel?

I am sure the wheel could be recovered by someone like Seat Surgeons or a local saddle repairer etc. but not sure about the badge.

Yes a new steering wheel control unit is required, along with a new airbag wiring harness.

Any idea on the cost of these two items and also the cost of installation?

The items cost approx £165 and installation is 1 hour at £45.

Ben, are you able to get hold of the 3 spoke MFSW as well? And if so, how much?

Once some clients pay up what they owe me, I may well be in touch!

The wheel is approximately £150, infact I have one in stock at the moment :)
