According to German media reports, Skoda Auto is reportedly considering a move to launch a stretched version of the Yeti SUV. The newcomer may debut in 2012 when the Czech carmaker is due to rework the entire range.

Compared with the regular Yeti, which is 4,223mm long, the additional model could be some 30cm longer.

If Skoda gives the scheme the green light, it could follow in the footsteps of Nissan, which first launched the popular Nissan SUV, followed by the stretched version, called the Qashqai +2.

I would like to see a bigger Skoda SUV (Touraeg sized) but I'm not sure stretching the Yeti is going to look that good. The proportions of the current model are just right.
