Wonder if you guys can advise where i can check for the knocking, i've heard sometimes the engine mountings go on the fabia's but which one is most likely and where is it located?

I'm getting a knocking when i release the clutch, but only when in gear. If i'm at a standtill i can release the clutch and make it knock, also when moving and changing through the gears. Doesn't seem like i can be gentle and not make the noise. I'm going to get the girlfriend to make it knock, then check - but after a rough idea of where it could be. I'm planning on getting the console bushes changed next week, but i'm sure its not those that are knocking now.

remove undertray

try and rock the engine by pushing on the sump...

if it knocks it will be your dogbone mount bush
