Remap/Modding of Octavia 1.9tdi

Featured Replies

Hey all I haven been driving my 1.9tdi Octavia for the past six months and have been happy I recently lowered it and put on new alloys but I now want more power. I am thinking remap from Angel tuning but was wondering if anyone else has done this to a 1.9tdi and if it felt any different or was it just better on fuel???. My idea is to have it looking similar to a vrs so going to order spoiler and put new exhaust on and in future change the bumpers. any other ideas would be great

ive been reading post's on here over the last few weeks, as ive been looking into having my ecu re-mapped, the reviews and results are all good, im going to try shark performance as they have great reviews, they let you try the new map before buying too which sounds a great selling point.

not sure what power output you have but even the lower bhp cars can be made upto something decent, im looking at upping my 2.0 pd tdi from 140 to 170 ish.

I have a 1.9tdi which has been remapped by torquetronix here in northern ireland. Not entirely sure of the output now, but the guy who tuned it reckoned i would see at least 130bhp, perhaps more. The engine has a great deal more flexibility, has better economy, and on a recent trip down through France managed 54mpg fully loaded with people, and camping gear at an average speed of 80mph along the motorways. Even fully loaded the car was able to go like a scalded cat and performed faultlessly.
