Ibiza Cupra TDI with 50K on the clock,

This is what came out :o -

And this is what went in B) -

Manifold Ported and cleaned up a bit

Also removed the intercooler and pipes and gave them all a clean.

Wow!! a very noticeable difference , pulls more willingly and more reactive than before. The Cupra TDI mapped isn't a slouch, but now it's even better

That manifold is practically "new" compared to this...

EGR is not a good thing...

Thats a job worth doing mate. Nice and clean now. How about the EGR delete then?

Was considering the EGR delete, but not sure if I'm up for the hassle that sometimes comes with it at the moment.

Ideally I need to get it mapped out the software at the same time, maybe a mod for the future.

seems pointless, you've just cleaned everything! done a good job, and your leaving the cause of the problems there....

are you Irish?

The main problem isn't the EGR, the problem is caused by the breather pipe feeding into the intake ( get your facts straight),

and It took 50K to get to this point, I probably won't have the car more than another 10K, so I'd prefer to keep it standard.

So keep your irish comments to yourself please haha!

its actually a combination....

only trying to help you out a bit

the breather adds the oil, the egr adds the soot, mixed together it creates the sludge

i have bypassed both on my car

Doesn't the engine rely on the intake to cause a slight vaccum on the breather to keep oil pressure up??

Where do I run the hose to?

your asking the wrong person now lol....

there's a big massive how to guide on it i believe around 10 pages

ive just run mines to my subframe under the car to let it vent to air and blanked off the intake

Yeh, so much for elaborating eh? :dull:

no it does not..the ccv simply releases the pressure thats built up from the crankcase...wont effect oil pressure in any way...the oil pump does all that.

:p

Crankcase breather...my engine has a reclaim device already fitted as standard. Trust me that mess is as a result of the EGR and as mentioned partially down to the way the fuel combusts and what gets chucked out the other end.

Is there much point in the CCV mod then?

the best mod you can do..stops oily air going thru the intake system..

Doesn't this depend on what type of breather system it's been designed around? Negative pressure or atmospheric, so yes an elaboration would be good thank you!!!!

The current system appears to be a negative pressure system, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I know a lot of people have already done this mod before it's said.
