Featured Replies

Hi peeps ,

had my mk 1 ocky vrs for over 12 months (still love it by the way) recently noticed when i open the door when my lights are left on

it used to make a alarm sound to warn that your lights are left on. now it appears it doesnt Although im not sure now if ive made it up - a fuse maybe?

can someone enlighten me and put me out of my misery.

thanks in advance peeps.

Mine makes a sound

Micro switch in the door lock, have a search it's a pita to change. Hence why mine still doesn't work, well unless I hit the door near the lock :giggle:

Mine is intermittant too. Just never open the drivers door, and put the key in the car, then close the door again and walk away...... because it will auto-lock and lock your keys in! Other than that, there are no drawbacks that I've encountered.

Only happened to me once, and I was at home so had the spare to hand.

Is there a way to disable the auto-lock feature on vagcom? Stupid smart-arse electronics! I wish I had manual locks and windows. Lighter and more reliable.

Aye .............But don't ask me how

Sorry to take the thread off at a tangent but how can you activate auto locking as mine doesn't lock itself?

Here's the guide to fixing the switch http://briskoda.net/...ch-microswitch/

As for activating auto locks, have a search in the vagcom section it's there somewhere
