If you pull the plastic cover off the inside of the boot the rubber hose to the washer may have popped off, if washer fluid has got into the motor it may have shorted it out

washer works ok. washed the car before heading home to work and the rear wiper started working again! go figure! lol

My rear wiper went all intermittent on me. The insides of the motor were full of water and very horrible looking grease (looked more like mud). The electronics were covered in crap as well, eventually it stopped working altogether.

I bought a replacement wiper motor from a member on here and it's been good as gold ever since. Have a look in the car parts section, there's usually someone with one for sale. A brand new one will be £80+ IIRC.

The wiper stalk sometimes fails but the usual culprit is the motor springing a leak internally.
