Having recently just brought my Octavia VRS Diesel (CR Engine) I would like to know if by any chance there is any where that a maxidot system can be fitted to it or is this only fitted from factory.

Do a search on this site there's some very useful advice from klowledgeable members. AKAIK retrofit on FL model is not possible, which probably means it is possible but there is too much hassle sorting out the relevant codes.

Try Ben at shark performance (goes by the name of shark_90 on this site) he specialises in tuning and elecronic work on VAG cars and has done maxidot retrofit work in the past. It will involve changing your dashpod and coding in the new one I believe.
