Whats standard offset for 16" wheels for Superb?

Featured Replies

Ive got my eye on a cheap set of Audi a3 16" rims with good Continental tires on but the offset is not listed. Just wondering what standard offset is and if anyone knows what the biggest offset is I could go to? I dont want them to sit too far inside the arches and look stupid.

If they are no good ill probably end up trying out some Kumho KU31's for my 17" rims. Audi wheels will however save me 200 quid on price of new tires :p

Thanks

Ian

Just found spec of wheels im looking at,. 7j with 42 offset. They will fit ok

The std 7x16 Superb MKI alloys are ET37

Think you would be better off getting wheels closer to the ET37 mark mate unless your planning on running spacers?

Nah not thinking of running spacers, found oiut the wheels are ET50 7J :S although using that offset wheel calculator you posted link to elswhere I would have 1mm extra inner clearence but 11mm retraction from the wheel arch over my current ET45 7.5J wheels. So they would fit, but might look a bit odd.

Would running such an offset really make that much difference?

Thanks for ofset info Gizmo

Like many things when it comes to modifying it's away from the norm but in reality you won't have many issues, trouble with Audi wheel is the ET though and it may just look a little too stuck into the arches without spacers IMHO............

Ive decided to play it safe and ordered 4 Kumho KU31's (means I keep my 17's as well). See if they are as good as people say they are :D

Thanks for advice
