Fuse for stereo wiring loom?

Featured Replies

I am in the finishing stages of a carPC build, and I am installing a touch screen instead of my stream radio. I have bought a wiring loom that plugs into the standard OEM loom so I can cut into the wires (speakers etc) without dammaing the car's own loom. SO far all the speakers & PC are connected and working, but the final hurdle (an easy one I thought) was connecting th screens positive & negative(ground) to new loom's positive & negative. When I did this nothing happened, double checked all the wiring & screen and it all looked good.

This morning I have gone to plug in my stream radio to see if that works...and it doesn't. This makes me (hope) think it was a blown fuse. I have had a quick scan through the fuse box on the dash and can't see any that have been blown. The instruction manual doesn't mention any fuse for the wiring loom though. Am I missing something?

Thanks guys :)
