Scout front towing eye

Featured Replies

I'm still eagerly awaiting the delivery of my new Scout after changing the spec at the last minute and causing a self inflicted delay.

Can anybody tell me if there is a detachable towing eye for the front of the Octavia Scout. I know that on the VRs it is located under a grill cover, but I cannot make out if the Scout has a similar arrangement.

The reason I ask is that they are handy for tying bow ropes when transporting canoes.

Yes it does, its behind a small round plastic cap to the right side of the fog light.

The towing eye is located in the spare wheel well in the boot and screws in to the thread behind the plastic cap...

Yup - there's such a thing on mine. I haven't tried it though.

Anyone know where the rear towing eye goes?

Thats great thanks!

Beware, towing eyes usually have a left hand thread!
