But if they do not have another estate for sale they how are you going to "exchange like for like" anyway? (if that's what you decide to do)

THEY COULD EATHER BUY ONE IN FROM ANOTHER DEALER as they would get it at trade price or if they dont have one then i feel they should refund my money

If you are that dissatisfied with the car then getting a refund would be my first choice.

But if the 'rattle' is the only issue then i would give them until the weekend (just before your 30 days runs out) to try to rectify the problem.

if your not happy reject it. no ifs or buts. the SHOULD not rattle or do anything out of the ordinary

there are a few othe bits i noticed since i brought is sush as a scrat in the roof (witch could be polished out ) and a crack in the instrment cluster,

now i just hav e i bad feeling about this car but i no the sh-- will hit the fan when i go down thee and all i want to resolve this matter

peacefully,

I would be concerned about the crack in the cluster, if you can get a VCDS scan done asap any check the mileage is correct, I too would be leaning towards rejecting it now.

the car has 29000 miles on it and as it was a bmw company before i dident seem any reason to dout the mileage.

Take a look on the VCDS Owners Map for someone local to you who has VCDS.

The first 3 years of a cars life are the best time to clock a car as it is only the service book (and the servicing dealer) that will have a true record of an indication of what the mileage should be.

The car has probably not been clocked, but why would the cluster be cracked if it has not been removed? Most importantly if a dealer cracked them whist doing genuine work on the car then why was it not replaced?

thanks il do that but as it was a main skoda deeler i would have thought they would have done all this when buying the car in ?

You are obviously not happy with the car, and need some sort of support in your decision !!

Get a full refund, go elsewhere, there must be other car sales places which have/ or could get hold of the model you want ??emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Your probably find in the small print somewhere it will state you have to allow the dealer a fair chance to resolve any problems with the car or your ownership before going down the route of handing it back.

If it's coming to the end of your 30 days, give them written notice before that 30 days expire that you wish to reject the car due to the faults.

That way your rejection is in within the 30 days and they have the car as they are attempting to fix it.

Just my thoughts, but I am not a lawyer.

FWIW, I think they will claim you caused the scratch in the paint, or at least try to do so.
