Lights failure warning

Featured Replies

For a few months now I have had intermttantly "Lights Failure" warning light come up and now its getting more frequent. I took the car to Main dealer I always use and they spent an hour checking everything and using the computer - but could not find anything wrong. When I check all the lights - they all work ok. Dealer did not charge for checking - good show. Said will have to wait until the fault becomes constant. I did not think to ask them but can anyone tell me that whenever the fault packs up all together will this warning come up every time I turn the ignition on? That way I will then know there is a problem that can be fixed? Cheers

Brakelight switch, like sometimes happens on the Fabia?

Thanks ap0gee

I thought that if the fault was in the brakes circuit the warning was "Brake Lights failure" ??

Have checked pushing brake pedal on and off for what seemed an hour? - and all worked fine?

Regards

Can't help with the details of what would show on maxidot, I'm afraid, but I think the only way to find out it ISN'T that is to fit a new one (on the Fabia, at least). Don't suppose you know someone you could do swapsies with?
