Tracking VRS Estate

Featured Replies

I need a couple of new tyres (currently trying to get through all the previous posts on here to form an opinion on what to go for - does it make much difference that the estate is on 205/55R16's?)

But also need to get the tracking done. There's one of those 4 wheel laser alignment 'state of the art' contraptions at a tyre place near me. When I called they said they can't give me an exact price for tracking as it depends on whether the rear wheels are on a fixed axle or adjustable and once they know that it depends on exactly how many adjustments they need to make. He said something along the lines that if they can adjust the rears then there are 6 points that can potentially be adjusted, they charge £16 odd per adjustment so worse case scenario and I need everything adjusting it could cost approx £101. Does this sound right? They are a busy well respected local business but it sounds expensive to me.

Your thoughts much appreciated.

A & A in cardiff do it free lazer thing on a ramp and its £25 per axel+vat for any adjustments

and the rears cant be adjusted lol so £29 at a fast max price?

Sounds about right to me, my local garage up the village has a supertracker and charge £35 basic fee for the tracking to be checked and £15 per corner for any adjustments. As Billy said there's not a lot they can do on the rear, only the fronts.
