Can anyone tell me if its possible to transplant an AWX superb engine into a facelift model.....if so....can the existing parts from the 2.0ltr diesel engine be bolted straight on? and using would the engine fire up without any issues?

Not feasable, it's not only the engine, it's all the bits around it, and the ECU, also the 2.0 is very different to the 1.9.

You can still go down the reject it road iirc, especially if it's on finance, rule is they are supposed to have faith in it for the time you owe on it, if this proves to be not the case, which it isn't because it's failed prematurely, they are responsible also, if you can and you decide to, this will take 6 mths to get to court, and you must keep up the payments on it in the meantime, hth.

Thanks for that tip supurbia.........payment on the finance is no problemo....so it might be worth looking into...i have my holiday next week and a visit to the citizens advice is on the list.get the legal advice and see what they say....would be nice if i actually have a leg to stand on.......i dont think i or the other unfortunate owners with the dreaded pump failure should be in this position all thanks to a design flaw that vw or skoda actually knew about....and selling me a car with their vw based finance knowing that the car was basically unfit for purpose.....surely that would hold up in court !!

I'm not sure what a court would make of it, but as you say the engine is a lemon, they know it, yet they do nothing about it, but you are entitled to send it back if 50% is paid off, and you are also entitled to get the finance company involved in rejecting the car as not fit, which any court in the land is going to rule in your favour, because any judge knows that an engine that expires before 40k isn't fit.
