hi i bought my octavia tdi 110 w reg 2000

all is well apart from air bag light wont go off comes on with ignition flickers once then stays on

im able to get a second hand module off another car but will i have to reprogrammed, are they interchangeable

or will a simple reset do for the old one

have you had the codes read as sometimes it can as simple as the seat wires being unplugged etc.

the module itself is on top of the tunnel under the carpet behind the dash and not easy to get at.. also some can be a pain/impossible to reprogram

How do you know it's the module that's faulty? It could be any part of the airbag system causing the light to come on. You need to get vagcom diagnosis before you start replacing things.
