VCDS problems

Featured Replies

I've been using VCDS lite and this cable: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.42823 to my 2000 Fabia.

I can connect to some modules, but not the engine (it says cannot sync baud rate)

Also I have a couple of fault codes that I will post tomorrow when I go out to the car again.

Thanks, Rob

I tried all those suggestions, no luck.. it's only the engine that does not work. I have tried with it on and off.

Here are the fault codes I have:

Airbags:

00532 - Supply Voltage B+

07-10 - Signal too Low - Intermittent

Central convenience:

01135 - Interior Monitoring Sensors

36-10 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

00917 - Control for Windshield Wiper Interval Setting

27-00 - Implausible Signal

00921 - Indicator Lamp for Heated Outside Mirrors (K153)

27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

I`ve had this problem, took me ages to sort it out, anyhow....(cannot sync baud rate) error, just change the baud rate from 0 to 9600 in the program options of VCDS .

I found it better to restart the laptop and turn of the ignition for at least 20 secs after making any changes.

If you get poor latency go to the com port in device manager change the latency from 16 (work downwards...ie 12/8/4/2)
