Rear left window problem

Featured Replies

Having problems with this electric window. It works fine from the switch by it, but it will not work from the driver's switch.

VAG-COM reveals that the switch is 'implausible'.. All the other switches just say operating or not operating, so could this be a software problem?

Thanks, Rob

I had a lot of problems with my windows operating intermittently. Furrows in Oswestry replaced one of the motors - and it still wasn't working. I asked them to test the old one and put it back on if it was still working - which it was! It turned out to be a loose/dirty fuse which I found 6 days later. So check all the relevant fuses before proceeding further...

I had a quick look at the fuses, but I still think it's a software issue, as the window does work, just not from the driver's switch.

On my car initially both windows failed. Then they both came back but the passenger window was only operating from the passenger door but not from the drivers door. The one-touch had also disappeared (from both) and couldn't be reset with the handbook procedure. When I took it in for them to look at the passenger window had stopped working again - despite my relating the history in detail they just went ahead and changed the passenger door motor without testing the one they took off. They then found both were working - but when I picked the car up the passenger window had stopped again.

A new fuse solved the problem completely.
