Delivery times - is dealer realistic?

Featured Replies

Guys,

first post - I've just ordered a diesel vRS as my company car. The dealer has quoted ten weeks - is this realistic at the moment, I've been Reading of much longer times in the forums lately? I guess I want to know if I should prepare for a longer wait!

8 - 12 weeks is normal, but there are a few horror stories on the forum and I think it's dependant on dealer, model and extra's.

My VRS 2.0TSI (reverse sensors and spare wheel) took 11 weeks and 5 days from day of order to get to my driveway, it was built in 8 weeks but just missed the boat (literally) and sat for nearly 3 weeks waiting for the next VAG ship to fill up before setting sail.

Thanks for the quick response, seems reasonable then!

It's a bog standard apart from a spare wheel. I hope to add maxidot and MDI to the order.

I ordered a VRS Estate on 26 June. I was told to expect delivery first or second week of October. That's about 14 to 15 weeks by my reckoning.

Good luck. Enjoy your new car when it arrives.

In a word, no.

No no and thrice no! :'(

Bugger. That doesn't sound too promising!

B*gger. :'(

WOW jammy or what mine was built last week n just missed the August 8th boat trip, so at least ist sitting at Emden waiting for next ship.

Phoned SUK on Tuesday fro an update, they said it was built and enroute to emden by train and would be 6 weeks before arrival to me in uk, i gave them an earful and they are gonna compensate me with a free service n spare wheel.

Phoned dealer afterwards n he said it is in Emden waiting for next ship.

If it does take 6 weeks that will have been 23 weeks in total for a standard black magic vRS CR
