dirve shaft/bush porblem?

Featured Replies

There's been a weird clacky clack sound coming from the front wheels recently, more so when the car is moving with the steering wheel turned.

I had this before but was under warranty, so the they changed the whole drive shaft component. Now at 50000km later its appearing again, i think its premature wear. Shouldn't it be just a problem with the drive shaft boot cover and bush? help!

c.v joint most likely. a common problem.]

It is indeed a cv clack, call GSF and ask for a GSP CVJ kit, it's £32 for the lot, has everything you need in the box, and don't be put off by the low cost, they are of good quality, so that's a CV, the boot, clips and grease and instructions, all for £32, Bargain!

Thanks!

as with all VW cv boots they crack after about 50k so inspect on a regular basis if they are busted for a period then the cv joint will start cracking so keep an eye on them
