Connecting the steering-wheel adapter to my pioneer stereo

Featured Replies

Hi! Just bought the Steering-Wheel Stalk adaptor CTSSK001 from ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-Skoda-Steering-Wheel-Stalk-Adaptor-CTSSK001-/170521113428?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET ) to connect my Pioneer FH-P80BT to the steering-wheel control in my Superb 03.

Pulled out the stereo sunday to take a look, and what I saw was that the connectors for the pioneer-stereo did'nt fit the adaptor, and that there wasn't any way I could connect the adaptor according to the installation manual.

According to the schematics I should connect the aftermarket lead to the stereo, that part is ok.

Part 3 says I shold connect the stalk adaptor to the multiconnector, and the connector back in the stereo.. But there doesn't excist any entrance for the connector back in my stereo..

If we move to part 4 there doesnt excist any multiconnector from the car to connect in my stereo, what I can find is the blue system remote control cable, and a yellow cable I dont know the function for.

Could I try to connect the System remote control cable to the multiconnector, and could the yellow cable help me, or am I really on the wrong track here? I can find a blue and white-striped cable in the multiconnector, so I could try connecting to that one.

If this works out part 4 of the installation manual is fixed, but part 3 could be a little harder:P

Could anyone help me here? Thanks in advance

Blue/White is to hook an amp up to mate.

Violet/White is for reverse and camera

Yellow/Black is mute function

Green is handbrake

Orange/White is the dimmer

Looking at your pictures, I suspect it needs to plug above the 10amp fuse (red) but it's the wrong connection, if this is the place it goes, I think you'll need another adapter to complete.

To save time, e.mail here....http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25/121/61/FH-P80BT/index.html

They do answer, it takes a couple of days, the blue IP/Bus thing is for additional input, so I don't think it will be that, other than that I would ask if the unit supports linking up to wheels, I notice they offer a remote for it, so perhaps it simply doesn't connect.

Just had a look here...http://pioneer.ipapercms.dk/Manuals/FH_P80BT_CZR5522_installation_manual/

I think if you look on page 5, you will see an input for a mini jack for a wired remote, I would guess there is an adapter that converts that block to a single jack pin.

Nailed it....http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25/121/61/FH-P80BT/specs.html look under conectivity, hard wired remote input, this is the problem, you have the capability but not the correct means to connect, check there isn't an updated ISO for this before trying for an adapter.
