Power stearing fault Octavia VRS 57reg

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone help?

I have lost my power stearing and the power stearing light has come on aswell as the low tire pressure light and traction control light does anyone have a idea what could be wrong.

Have you driven the car a few metres? This normally puts the lights out - sounds likely that you've had a flat battery or battery disconnect, (or if not then some interruption in the power feed?).

Need to have the fault codes read if its not self calibrating.

I had the same problem and dealer fixed it in 5mins ,just needed recalibrating .free of charge as still in warranty .

cheers

Highly likely if it's not recalibrating itself with a short drive, you've got a defective ABS sensor or damaged sensor wire. This will light all of the above lights. The steering angle sensor can't be calibrated without fully functioning ABS. Same goes for TPM.

You need to get the codes read by someone with VCDS or a dealer. This will identify which ABS sensor is faulting.
