Soon to be new VRS owner :)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've been a long time reader of briskoda whilst saving up to get a skoda of my own. Today my patients has been rewarded, and I have bought a 59 plate white petrol octavia VRS hatch (second hand), picking it up on thursday. It's pretty standard, but has rear parking sensors (no maxidot unfortunately)

I just have one quick question to other VRS owners, regarding the DRL. The DRL on my car doesnt seem that bright, infact it was quite difficult to see that they were on at all!. I allways presumed they would be as bright as the ones on the A5. I was just wondering if there was a switch or setting somewhere that made them brighter, or if later models came with brighter LED's ??

Any way, very excited to join the club, can't wait till thursday now

:)

i think they are brighter when the side lights are turned off. My car turns up on the 1st but the car i have seen on the road are very bright

How close where you to the car when you looked at them? Mine do not look that bright when close to the car and looking down at them. If I kneel down in front of the car then they look a lot brighter. Also as above did you have the sidelights activated or was the lights set to '0' or Auto?

Thanks for the replies. I did have my side lights on, and was looking down at them, so I guess that explains it

Thanks again
